TEAM meets with Congresswoman Young Kim

On June 19, 2024, TEAM founder Sophie Yang had the distinct honor of meeting with Congresswoman Young Kim.

Representative Kim is one of the first Korean-American women elected to the United States Congress, serving as the US representative for CA-40.

During our meeting we provided a briefing to Congresswoman Kim on what Misophonia is and current state of research on the condition.

Congresswoman Kim was attentive and inquisitive throughout the meeting, frequently asking questions to learn more about the disorder.

As our discussion ended, she promised to keep Misophonia top of mind as she serves in Congress for any opportunities the federal government might be able to assist with.
